Bright Field 2020

Over the months of lockdown in 2020, I cycled to Hampstead Heath to walk among the trees and find inspiration and hope. I painted this series of trees, learning their names as I visited them - silver birch, oak, linden, sycamore… It was good to be among them when the world was turned upside down.
